NEALON: July Recap

Somehow time got away from me and I am SO behind on posting pictures! I left off at the end of June, so here is July...

We had Joel's birthday party thr first weekend of July...his birthday week was very busy with the end of school and soccer. It was a beautiful day and a fun party!

We had backyard games and a pinata!

Everyone squeezed into the shade when it got hot...what a fun group of kids!

We stayed home for the 4th this year...our neighborhood had a little block party and put on some fireworks.

Joel still doesn't like the loud ones, but he loves to watch them!

The highlight of the month was out trip to the Great Wolf Lodge! The kids have been talking about our trip last year ALL YEAR so it was SO exciting to finally get to go again. We may go again this winter - it's definitely a highlight for our family.

It's hard to get good pictures in there, and everything is wet, so I don't like to carry my camera around, but here are a couple of cute ones. Joel was tall enough to go on the Tornado this time...and brave enough to try it! He was nervous the first time, but then couldn't get enough of it!

I found maren sleeping like this one afternoon. Her closet doors were closed, so it took me a minute to find her! Looks uncomfortable to me, but she was sound asleep!

We went bowling with our friends Ben & Sheila...the kids loved it!

Maren often finds and catches frogs in our yard...she is not at all squeamish about holding things! I love that she plays dress-up and makes up songs and dances, but also loves to run and play and catch things. She's a great girl.

Robots on the sidewalk - it's hard to tell but Joel's is wearing a sweater, maren's is a princess and Greg's is surfing.

More fun times with Ben & Sheila. This is at the park where Joel went to preschool and we met these guys 2 years ago! They have been great friends!

I found Maren asleep on my bed one afternoon...she had made the bed for me then fallen asleep playing with her dolls. :)

Love those feet...long and narrow, just like the day she was born!

Our neighbors have a tramploline in their backyard, and the kids love to jump on it with the sprinkler underneath...kind of like a jumpy slip'n slide!
