Trying "solids"
Now that Maren is 6 months, we can begin giving her "solid" food - this is rice cereal, and it is so watered down, it can hardly be called solid!
She is definitely interested - opens her mouth and swallows what she doesn't push out with her tongue - but it will take sometime to get used to.
She wants to feed herself already! :)

Two Weeds
We went to the Dr. on Wednesday for Maren's 6 month and Joel's 3 year check ups (Joel's was a little early, but we wanted to take him to Dr Antony one more time before we move!). Here's their stats:
He is at the 50th percentile for both height and weight and has reached all of the other developmental markers that they look for at three - being able to jump (oh yeah!) draw a circle and talk in intelligent sentences (they had to take our word for this one...he was in rare form - QUIET!)
14.8 pounds, 25.5 inches
Maren is slightly below average for her age...which is GREAT considering where she started (5th percentile!). She is also on track developmentally - rolling over, sitting with some assistance, putting her hands in her mouth. She is also ahead of the game as far as teeth are concerned...she has the two bottom ones and is working on the two top ones.
We are so thankful to have healthy, growing kids!
CROCS like a crocodile
Greg got me a pair of crocs for my birthday, then we decided to get some for Greg, too, because he needed some sandal type shoes. Joel liked ours so much (I think he mostly liked that they were called crocs) that he asked for a pair. I took him to the store and he picked out this cool orange color and he almost literally hasn't taken them off since!
