Reno Trip

Greg took the kids to Reno to visit his parents for a long weekend at the end of May. It was a nice visit for all of them, and I got to have a girls weekend with my sister. Greg took a lot of pictures and video, but I have included some of my favorites here: Grandma and Grandpa LOVED having their grandkids with them.

Max LOVED Maren...I guess he wanted to be near her all the time, almost like he was protecting her. She loved him, too!

The weather wasn't great, but the boys got out in the hills for a hike on Saturday.

Pool Time

We had a couple of really hot days in mid-May, so we got out the pool and let the kids play. They had a blast in the water!

Photo Shoot

I wanted to have some nice pictures of the kids to hang on the wall, so I had a photo shoot with them in the front yard. The first three are the ones that I enlarged and framed.

Nature Walk

I took the kids to Kathryn Albertson Park, which has no play equipment, just paths through wooded areas and ponds. We saw baby geese (and their not-so-nice parents), a blue heron, and lots of ducks and birds.

These were the cutest baby animals I saw there! :)

"Sleeping"

The kids and I have been sick for the last week, and Greg finally got it on Thursday. He had a 24 hour shift on Friday and only got 1 hour of sleep, so he came home and went right to bed...but the kids missed him so much that they crawled in bed with him and played for a little bit before he was out for a half of the day!

Planting Season

One of Greg's friends at work plants several thousand tomato plants every year and then sells the tomatoes to small vendors. Greg and Joel got to go out and help him transplant about 300 of the plants on Friday. They weren't putting them in the ground yet, so they got to ride the tractor and see what it's like to be on a farm for an afternoon! Needless to say, they both loved it!

We're goin' to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo!

On Monday while I was working, Greg took the kids to the zoo for the morning. They had a lot of fun!

Spring!

We are loving spring in Boise! The flowers are starting to bloom, and some of the trees have leaves on them, finally! We have four lilac trees in our front yard, which was a surprise this year, as they had finished blooming by the time we got here last year. We are excited to see what else might pop up in the coming weeks!
